What is MELT®?
The MELT Method is a simple self-treatment technique that reduces chronic pain and helps you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. Ten minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.
Melt was created by Sue Hitzmann, a manual therapist, connective tissue specialist, educator, and founding member of the Fascia Research Society. Her research and efforts transformed neurofascial science and hands-on therapies into a one-of-a-kind treatment method called MELT.
Using specialized techniques, a soft body roller, and three small balls, MELT rehydrates the connective tissue, rebalances the nervous system, and restores space to compressed joints. This revolutionary approach is backed by the latest science and acclaimed by tens of thousands of devoted MELTers around the world!
New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue.
What does melt do?
Daily living creates stress and tension within your body. Physical stressors, emotional, mental, and environmental stressors also put a strain on your body.
The repetitive stress of daily living literally gets "stuck" in the connective tissue.
Hence the term "stuck stress." This type of stress accumulates and causes dehydration in the connective tissue, which interferes with the nervous system's ability to regulate itself, slowing down our natural healing process.
Melt aims to rehydrate our connective tissue and free it of stuck stress. Doing so will allow for efficient natural healing, which aids in slowing down the aging process and rebalancing the nervous system.
Who is MELT for?
Strength in Body & Mind
MELT for everyone! MELT is for people of any gender, any age, any physical ability, basically anyone who wants to slow down their aging process and live pain-free.
MELT is also beneficial for:
Active adults who want to maintain a healthy body and achieve optimal performance without debilitating wear and tear.
Musicians - keeping your fingers nimble and your upper body tension-free.
Dancers who want to improve whole-body balance and performance.
Even if you are pregnant, injured, post-surgery, overweight, sedentary, out of shape, or have limited mobility, chronic pain, knee/hip replacements, or bone disorders - you can still MELT.
NOTE: If you have an issue or chronic pain, group class is not your cure-all solution. Most if not all people who have a chronic issue need some one-on-one time to make a strategy to resolve some of the pre-existing issues. Consider doing some private sessions with an instructor if you are in this category.
